Strip Cutter- 2 ½” (2” finished) AQ55112 GO! Cutting Mat – 6” x 12” AQ55113 GO! Cutting Mat – 10” x 24” 45cm of Main Fabric 15cm x 25cm of 4 different pink fabrics 5cm x 20cm of yellow fabric 10cm of green fabric 60cm x 60cm (Table Topper) or 110cm x 40cm (Table Runner) of wadding 60cm x 60cm (Table Topper) or 110cm x 40cm (Table Runner) of backing fabric 20cm of binding fabric General Sewing Tools Cutting Instructions All measurements will now be in inches consistent with quilting standards. Main fabric – Cut (2) 3 ½” x Width of fabric (WOF) Using AQ55643, cut (16) Shape D* Cut (1) 2 ½” x WOF Using AQ55643, cut (8 (table topper) or 12 (table runner)) Shape B Cut (1) 1 ½” x WOF Using AQ55643, cut (12) Shape C Cut (1) 8” x WOF Using AQ55017, cut (3) 2 ½” strips. Pink fabric – Using AQ55643 Cut (1) 4 ½” square and (1) 3 ½” x 4 ½” rectangle in each colour Cut (1) Shape A and (2) Shape D* Yellow fabric – Using AQ55643 Cut (4) Shape C Green fabric – Cut 3 ½” by WOF Cut (8) Shape D* (table topper) (4) Shape B Using AQ55017, cut (1) 2 ½” square Binding fabric – Using AQ55017 Cut (3) 2 ½” strips. Cross cut (1) strip only into 7 ½” strips *Note – these shapes are directional. Sewing Instructions All seams are ¼” unless otherwise specified. Creating Blocks: Sew 1 yellow shape C to 3 main shape C together to create a small four patch as shown. Sew 2 shape D together with centre seam pointing right using 1 pink and 1 green triangle as shown. Sew shape D together with centre seam pointing to the left using 1 pink and 1 green triangle as shown. Sew C unit (step 1), left D unit with pink triangle (step 3) and 1 B shape together as shown. Sew 2 shape B to right D unit with green triangle (Step 2) as shown.NOTE: depending on which version you are making you will have 2 main fabric shape B or 1 main shape B and 1 green shape B fabric. Or Sew right D unit with pink triangle (Step 2) to top of shape A, and left D unit with green triangle (Step 3) to bottom. Sew these units together in the order shown below. Block should measure 7 ½”x 7 ½”. OR Assembling Quilt Top Version 1: Table Topper Lay out the blocks in the two rows of two blocks as shown. Insert in the centre (2) 2 ½” x 7 ½” strips with the green 2 ½” square. Using the 2 ½”x 7 ½” main fabrics, sew two Magnolia Buds to each side. Press towards strip. Repeat for second set of magnolia buds. Sew the short ends of (2) 2 ½” x 7 ½” strips with the green 2 ½” square. Press towards the square. Sew rows together, matching seams. Add borders as shown. Version 2: Table Runner Lay blocks out as shown below. Sew 2 ½”x 7 ½” strip in between each Magnolia Bud block and on each end. Press towards sashing. Sew outer border onto runner as shown Quilting and Finishing Layer batting between quilt top and backing. Pin or baste layers together. Quilt as desired Add binding, mitering corners.
