Machine Warranty – Australiasia

10-year limited warranty

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

When purchased new Handi Quilter Machines in Australasia, are warranted from the date of delivery to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period(s) specified herein. (Refer to separate Warranty for Handi Quilter Pro- Stitchers).
Handi Quilter will provide parts and labour to the customer to correct manufacturing defects in material and workmanship that occur under normal use, during the applicable warranty period.
This warranty is made only to the original purchaser who acquires this product for his or her own use from an authorized Handi Quilter Retailer.

  • One year: Warranty Parts and Warranty labour
  • Five years: Mechanical Warranty – for any mechanical failure within this period, Handi Quilter will replace the part free of charge*.
  • Five years: Electronic / Electrical Warranty – the electric / electronic components are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for 5 years from date of purchase. This electrical warranty will be invalid if the machine is left plugged into a power source when not in use.*
  • Ten years: Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty – warrants the sewing Head is free of casting or machine imperfections causing product failure. This warranty does not extend to mechanical or electronic/electrical parts, which are covered under a separate warranty, or consequential damage to the head caused by mechanical or electronic/ electrical part failures beyond their warranty period.*

This warranty only covers defects encountered during normal use and does not apply to damage or failure due to abuse, misuse, neglect, accidental damage or force majeure, failure to follow the operating and maintenance instructions machine user manual, improper maintenance or lubrication, improper adjustments or modifications to the machine, and the installation or use of non-Handi Quilter parts or accessories.

This warranty does not apply to: consumables, losses or damage to goods, or other property damage arising out of the use, misuse, or inability to use the machine. Handi Quilter will not be responsible for the cost of shipping replacement parts or of travel and related expenses of its certified technicians incurred while providing services pursuant to this warranty.
Void if: This warranty is void if anyone other than Handi Quilter or one of its certified technicians attempts to repair or modify the machine. This warranty is void if parts or accessories other than Handi Quilter are used in conjunction with your Handi Quilter machine.
To qualify for our standard warranty your Handi Quilter product should be well maintained & serviced at least every 12 months by an approved Handi Quilter technician.

*Labour and freight are at the customer’s cost.

ProStitcher Warranty – Australiasia

5-year limited warranty

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

When purchased new Handi Quilter Machines in Australasia, are warranted from the date of purchase to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period(s) specified herein. Handi Quilter Australia will provide parts and labour to the customer to correct manufacturing defects in material and workmanship that occur under normal use, during the applicable warranty period.

This warranty is made only to the original purchaser who acquires this product for his or her own use from an authorized Handi Quilter Retailer.

  • One-year Limited Warranty: During the first year from the date of purchase, Handi Quilter Australia will repair any manufacturing defect without charge for the parts or labour. All subsequent warranties include parts costs only.
  • Five-year Mechanical Warranty: For any mechanical failure within this period. Handi Quilter Australia will provide free warranty replacement parts, the customer pays for labour and freight.
  • Lifetime Software Update Warranty: From the date of purchase Handi Quilter Australia will provide updates (minor changes) to the Pro-Stitcher software), Free of charge, to the consumer via electronic downloads. These are intended to provide the consumer with the latest software updates for the Pro-Stitcher and are not the same as Upgrades, which will incur a fee to the consumer.
  • Five-year Electronic/Electrical Warranty: The electric/electronic components are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for five years from the date of purchase. If any defect is reported within this period, Handi Quilter Australia will provide free warranty replacement parts, the customer pays for labour and freight. Excludes the tablet PC.
  • Two-year Tablet PC Warranty: The Pro-Stitcher tablet PC is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase. For any failure within this period, Handi Quilter Australia will, at its option:
    • provide warranty replacement parts necessary for repair; or
    • repair or replace the tablet PC with a comparable product. Replacement parts or tablet PC will be new or serviceably used, and comparable in function and performance to the original part or product. Customer pays for labour and freight.

This limited warranty stated in sections (b), (c), (d), and (e) above shall be limited solely to the replacement of parts which, in the opinion of Handi Quilter Australia are defective in workmanship or material and are returned to Handi Quilter Australia, or an authorised repair facility, or such other point or place that may be designated by Handi Quilter Australia.

The product registration form must be completed and received by Handi Quilter Australia before warranty is valid. handiquilter.com.au/product-registration

Warranty Inclusions:

Handi Quilter shall have no obligation for any claim under this warranty if the Pro-Stitcher has been misused, abused, neglected, damaged in transit or has been altered from the standard specifications established by HandiQuilter, if proper cleaning and maintenance has not been performed, or if the Pro-Stitcher is used on other frame systems with other machines than those specified by Handi Quilter.

Returns:

We cannot refund or exchange goods for change of mind or errors you made in your order. We may at our sole discretion, ( with the exception of Special orders) allow a return for refund on a case-by-case basis, provides the item in question is:

  1. Returned within 14 days of order*;
  2. Not used (with original packaging with tags);
  3. Not damaged in any way.
  4. Proof of purchase must be provided.

If we allow a return in these circumstances, we will ask you to follow our returns process.
We will provide you with a refund only when we receive the returned product. You are responsible for the payment of return postage.

*Please note- No refunds will be given on Special Orders.
