QUILTING WITH A “NESTING” TYPE RULER

Handi Quilter Arc B has 3 pieces that “nest” together.

One challenge with using nesting rulers is that, when working with just the outer arc, you may find you don’t have a lot of surface area to hold down securely, which can lead to slipping during quilting. To address this issue, a practical solution is to nest all the pieces of the ruler together and secure them with blue painters’ tape. This method provides a larger, more stable surface to hold securely, minimizing the risk of slipping and ensuring greater accuracy in your quilting.

To see it in action, check out the video below. You’ll see how I use the ruler on my longarm and how I “fudge” the ruler to fit the wedding ring shape. I have a ruler base attached to my machine as well as the Sure Foot.
